ZEF Film Screening
Four years of migration research at ZEF, and the result is clear: we talk far too much about migration and far too little to migrants. The European Commission-funded project "Crises as OPPORTUNITIES: Towards a Level Telling Field on Migration and a New Narrative Successful Integration" has addressed this problem from a theoretical, practical, and artistic perspective.
We now present the results of our project. On 5 June, two international documentaries will be screened at the Rex Filmtheater in Wuppertal (multilingual, with English subtitles):
Sankofas (grdr: Migration-Citoyenneté-Développement, Paris)
A Certain Freedom (cnca: coordinamento nazionale cumunità accoglienti, Rome/Turin)
Both films provide a voice for people who have a different perspective on migration - from the inside. They disclose their experiences and tell stories that are profoundly impactful. A unique opportunity to hear what migrants have to say!
We will also be welcoming one of the co-producers of A Certain Freedom, CINZIA BRENTARI, who will give us an insight into the making of the film.
